Perez warns Juventus: €30m for Higuain is a waste of time

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has advised Juventus to offer in excess of €30 million for Gonzalo Higuain or "don't bother showing up." The Argentina international is said to be itching for a move away from the Bernabeu this summer, with the Bianconeri and Arsenal both understood to be keen on adding the 25-year-old to their ranks this summer. The Italian champions are believed to be leading the hunt for the want-away striker, with club officials reportedly preparing to table a €22m bid, but Perez has warned that such an offer would not even be given time of day in the Spanish capital. He told Mediaset: "If Juventus are thinking about offering €30m for him then it would be better if they don’t even turn up because that will not be enough. "But we have not yet received any offers for Gonzalo and that is including Juventus."

Galliani hints at Milan move for Tevez

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has hinted at a move for want-away Manchester City attacker Carlos Tevez this summer. The Argentina international is keen to leave the Premier League runners-up ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and has caught the attention of clubs such as Liverpool, Monaco and Juventus. However, Galliani is confident the 29-year-old would not leave City for Juve and thinks Tevez would even accept a pay cut to join Milan. "Tevez would not betray me by going to Juventus," the Rossoneri director told reporters. "I like him because he's a 'bad guy'. He would accept a big pay-cut to come to us." Tevez's current deal with City is due to expire in June 2014 and an offer in the region of €8-10 million could be enough to lure him away from the Premier League side. Milan were already close to signing the flamboyant attacker in the summer of 2012, but the deal eventually fell through for unknown reasons.

Mikel Obi on the radar of Turkish champions

The Nigerian midfielder is been courted by the Turkish Champions though Chelsea have not offered him for sale with the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea for a second stint, word out of England say that Turkish champions, Galatasaray are courting Mikel Obi to move to Turkey.

Respected sources from London revealed that though the Europa League champions have not made Mikel available, they could be swayed with a big-money move from any club for a player in his position.

“It is true that Galatasaray are interested. And if Chelsea see big money for a player in his position (defensive midfield), I am sure they will sell,” .

It will also be recalled that it was Jose Mourinho was the one that brought the Nigerian to London after a battle with Manchester United in 2006.

But the question will be whether Mikel will want to leave the club where he has won multiple titles including the Champions League. The source added that, “He could move if he believes he will enjoy more playing time at the Turkish club.”

Galatasaray signed Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneidjer last season to challenge in the Uefa Champions League and they reached the quarter final where they lost to Real Madrid.

Mikel is not expected to resume with Chelsea until July when the pre-season training will begin.

Keshi: It’s not yet finished

Coach Stephen Keshi has warned that the task of qualifying the Super Eagles for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil was not yet finished.

Nigeria on Wednesday defeated the Harambee Stars 1-0 in Nairobi, to stretch their lead in Group F to eight points, with two matches yet to play against Namibia on  June 12 in Namibia and Malawi in September.

Speaking after the match at the Arap Moi Stadium, Keshi said that he was delighted with the win but stressed that his players must not get carried away with their latest conquest.

“It was important to win this game and I am happy that the players got the three points that we came to Kenya for. It was a good result and it shows that we are learning with every other game. But the job is not yet finished.

“We still have two key games to play and it is important for us to stay focused on the target of qualifying for the World Cup. We will continue working hard to ensure that this goal is achieved”.
