Santos vice president Odilio Rodrigues has confirmed that Neymar has told the club he wants to join Barcelona.
The Brazil international has long been linked with a move to Camp Nou and is set to fly to Spain for talks with the Blaugrana in July after the Confederations Cup.
Other clubs, including the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are reported to be monitoring the 21-year-old's situation at the Sao Paulo outfit but Rodrigues says the player is intent on a move to Catalunya.
"Neymar has told us that he wants to sign for Barca," Rodrigues told SER Esports.
"There are other proposals but he has a preference for Barca. There is no official Madrid proposal for Neymar, but we know that this offer will come."
Neymar's contract with the Peixe expires in 2014 and while he has been adamant that he will not leave before then, recent speculation has suggested that he would be open to a summer exit.
The 21-year-old has made over 100 league appearances for the club and has already racked up over a century of goals in his career.

Kaka & Ronaldinho left out of Brazil squad for Confederations Cup

There is no room for Chelsea's Ramires but Blues team-mates David Luiz and Oscar have been called upon, as has relegated QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Bayern Munich duo Dante and Luiz Gustavo have both been summoned, while Neymar is the star attraction in a stellar attacking quintet that also features Leandro Damiao, Hulk, Lucas Moura and Fred.
Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has a place in Felipao's squad despite being criticised this year for his form dropping, while Thiago Silva has secured a spot in the home tournament having ledc Paris Saint-Germain to success this season.
Tournament hosts Brazil have been drawn in the same group as Italy, Mexico and Japan and will kick-off the defence of their Confederations Cup crown against the latter of the trio on June 15.

"Victor Valdes has told us that he will not continue, so we need to try to find a replacement goalkeeper this summer," Bartomeu is quoted as saying by SPORT. "But also a central defender and a forward.

I am ready to part with my money.
Peter Odemwingie has revealed that he was ready to part with his own money last January to make the move to Queens Park Rangers, which was botched at the last minute.
