'Legend' Drogba upstaged as Eto'o eases Chelsea into Champions League quarter-finals
Prior to making his long-awaited return to Stamford Bridge, Didier Drogba admitted he had not decided whether he would celebrate scoring against Chelsea. In his pre-match press conference, Jose Mourinho refused to rule out the possibility of Drogba coming back to Stamford Bridge as a player when he becomes a free agent again this summer. But then Mourinho also said he did not believe this match would be over by half-time. Less than four minutes after the referee had blown his whistle it became abundantly clear just why Mourinho had identified Galatasaray as his preferred opponents in the Champions League round of 16. And for all the sentimental talk of the past few days, it had little to do with Drogba.

Ike Uche have passed Kessi First rule
Apart from the barrage of criticism that greeted the unveiling of the jerseys which the Super Eagles will wear for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, another issue that has generated heated arguments in Nigerian football circles is whether coach Stephen Keshi should uphold or rescind his verdict that Ikechukwu Uche will not make the Super Eagles squad for Brazil. As the FIFA World Cup inches nearer, I strongly believe that the Villarreal forward represents a good option for the Keshi-led technical crew who dream of a brilliant showing in Brazil
especially at a time when the country is yet to recover from the shocking news of Bright Dike’s unavailability due to injury .Following his consistent performances in La Liga this season and with the World Cup on the horizon, do the Eagles' hopes in Brazil rest on the shoulders of the Villarreal man more so considering the idea that Ike had passed kishe first rule for FIFA World Cup selection i think he deserve a chance?

Debate: Is Drogba or Eto'o the greatest African player of all time?
Africa has produced some magnificent players over the years; the likes of Rabah Madjer, Kalusha Bwalya, Roger Milla, Abedi Pele, George Weah, Jay-Jay Okocha, Yaya Toure and Michael Essien. But perhaps none of these icons have consistently reached the levels of brilliance that Drogba and Eto'o have whilst inspiring their sides to numerous major honours.
But who out of Drogba and Eto'o is the greatest African player of all time?

Arsenal have 'no chance' against Bayern Munich - Breitner
Former Bayern Munich midfielder Paul Breitner believes Arsenal have "no chance" of victory in the Champions League last-16 tie.The former Germany international believes the Gunners will not prevent Pep Guardiola's side from marching towards a second-successive Champions League title.
The Bavarian giants beat Arsene Wenger's side at the same stage of the competition last year and the former Bayern and Germany star believes the outcome will be much the same ahead of the first leg at the Emirates on Wednesday. "We want to win, we want to repeat the victory of last season. We want to win the Champions League again and Arsenal will have no chance." Breitner went on to suggest that the Bundesliga champions could well make history this year by becoming the first team to win the Champions League in consecutive seasons.
