West Ham have announced the loan signing of Juventus striker Simone Zaza on loan.The Hammers have embarked on a wide-ranging search for attacking reinforcements this summer, and the club intensified efforts to recruit a striker following injuries to fellow summer signing Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll. Zaza is the Hammers' 11th summer signing, with Slaven Bilic keen to restructure his playing squad ahead of their first season at the London Stadium. The Italy international will initial long season deal with the option of a €20 million permanent deal automatically triggered after an unspecified number of Premier League appearances.
“I want to thank everyone for welcoming me including the fans and everyone at the club. I wanted to start a new experience and I feel this is the right choice for me," Zaza said.
“I have been fortunate enough to have already played at the new Stadium with a different shirt. It is a beautiful stadium and I felt the warmth of the fans and this was a big reason why I wanted to join the club.
